Invisalign

Everyone wants a perfect smile, but not everyone wants the braces they might need to attain that smile. For these patients, there’s no better place to go than Comfort Dental Care and Orthodontics. With offices in Crestview, Pensacola, Mary Esther, and Santa Rosa Beach, this full-service orthodontics office offers Invisalign® as a way to avoid the look of brackets and braces.

What is Invisalign®?

Instead of metal braces, many patients prefer Invisalign® – a cosmetic dental procedure that straightens and aligns your teeth using clear and removable trays. These trays are comfortable and changed approximately every other week to gradually shift the position of your teeth over time. Through Invisalign®, you can perfect your smile without ruining your existing one, and in the process, avoid the discomfort that sometimes comes with tightening braces and metal brackets.

What Should I Reasonably Expect from an Invisalign® Treatment?

During your initial consultation, your orthodontist will address your concerns, discuss the financial and medical implications of your treatment, and tell you if and how Invisalign® can help you get the beautiful smile you deserve. The orthodontist will also conduct a series of exams, take some X-rays and make a tooth impression to get a 3-D image of the inside of your mouth.

These steps combined will allow your doctor to make a personalized treatment plan and as a result, design your clear customized Invisalign® trays. As a rule, these aligner trays are to be worn at all times and only removed when you are eating or need to clean them. Approximately, every two weeks you will replace these trays and every six weeks you will come back to our office for a checkup. This process will continue until your teeth have fully shifted into their proper place.

Are There Advantages to Using Invisalign®?

While traditional braces and Invisalign® both produce similar results, Invisalign® does provide the following benefits:

  • You can straighten your teeth without the appearance of unsightly metal braces and brackets
  • Your usual oral health regimen can go on uninterrupted
  • You have no eating restrictions
  • You can visit the orthodontics office less than if you had metal braces
  • You can rest assured that your treatment will be comfortable, and you won’t have irritations to your gums or cheeks

How Does Invisalign® Straighten My Teeth?

Similar to brackets and metal braces, Invisalign® uses controlled force to alter the final alignment of your teeth. The difference between both methods is that, with Invisalign®, the controlled force is placed at specific locations, at certain times, to ensure that your teeth move appropriately. Specific teeth are shifted during each stage of the process, which is determined by your orthodontist as a result of your treatment plan.

What are the Aligner Trays Made of and How Do They Look?

Invisalign® trays are made of a special thermoplastic material and are shaped to resemble teeth whitening trays. Each patient has his or her own customized trays so their teeth can shift according to the orthodontist’s treatment plan.

How Much Does Invisalign® Cost in Pensacola?

As Invisalign® is a personalized treatment, the cost will be different for every patient. In addition to accepting payment by cash, check, or credit card, we also have outside financing available through CareCredit® and OrthoBanc® for those who need to make payments over a longer period of time.

If you want to straighten your teeth, but are self-conscious about wearing traditional metal braces, contact Comfort Dental Care and Orthodontics at our Crestview, Pensacola, Santa Rosa Beach, and Mary Esther locations to discuss Invisalign®.

Dental Crowns

Decay or trauma can cause loss of tooth structure and can compromise function as well as esthetics. This “full coverage” restoration can strengthen your tooth and in the hands of an expert can provide a long-lasting esthetic and functional result.

Dentures

Tooth loss is challenging on many levels. Not only can it affect what you eat and how you chew leading to more serious health concerns, but it can also make you feel embarrassed and uncomfortable. We want you to be your best self. Dentures may help you get there.

Dental Sealants

Sealants are a thin, protective coating that bonds to the surface of your teeth. When properly applied, sealants can help prevent cavities. Best of all, sealants do not require numbing or drilling and are generally painless. Developed to ward off decay before it affects a tooth, they are most commonly used on those teeth most prone to cavities.

Porcelain Inlays

Porcelain inlays are hard; custom manufactured inserts that are usually placed in larger cavities and areas where there is less tooth structure.

Porcelain Onlays

Porcelain onlays are often referred to as partial crowns, and they are generally placed on your existing tooth as a base and fitted onto the tooth.

Teeth Cleaning

At Comfort Dental, we believe that getting your teeth cleaned every 6 months keep your teeth and gums as healthy as possible.

Dental Implants

When teeth are lost, dentists typically replace them with full or partial dentures. Dental implants are permanent posts that act as “roots” for the replacement teeth.

The dentists at Comfort Dental Care and Orthodontics use the All-on-4® procedure to fit patients with a fixed prosthesis that is supported by four implants.

Mini Dental Implants

Mini dental implants are smaller dental implants that work in the same manner as traditional dental implants. Because they are smaller in diameter, it is necessary to have a very precise replacement so that they function correctly.
